The Eipxus Report – Orlando Content Development

There’s a new Content Development studio in Orlando, and we’re doing things a bit differently than most.

EIPXUS - Digital Content ProductionAt the end of every day here at the Epixus Studios, I do a recap of the days activities. What worked well, what didn’t work well, what needs to be tweaked, which of my customers needs some additional advertising done, how the Podcasts for the day went… the list gets pretty involved. Then, at the end of every week, we do a full weekly recap of everything from the week and how it performed. That helps us understand what’s going on with our customers and also helps us plan for the weekend and upcoming week.

In a previous article, I mentioned that there’s no guess work to Social Media. The same holds true for our Production Studio. There’s no guess work, it’s all planned out using the same approach I use for content development. I analyze the results of the existing work and tweak where needed.

Facebook Ads Work Wonderfully Well If They’re Set Up Correctly

I love running Facebook campaigns for myself and customers. Understanding how to set up Facebook Ads is the difference in a successful campaign and a complete waste of money. While I won’t go into details here on exactly how I set them up, I will say that it’s a combination of recommendations from some of the leading experts in Facebook Marketing (those people never tell you their exact methods either!).

Looking at the results of some of the Facebook Campaigns this week, all the stats are up over 200% (which is really good!), and customers are happy.

I also did a very unusual Facebook Campaign with some interesting results. It was a single day, $5.00 campaign that targeted a very specific niche of people of Facebook. The campaign required them to follow a link and then fill out a form. Each of those leads was worth, at a minimum, $100. I’m pleased to say that in the single day, over 1,000 people were reached, out of those, 26 followed the link (not the best ratio, but it’s acceptable). Out of the 26 leads collected, 20 converted to a sale. So we ended up with 2% overall success rate, however that $5 translated into well over $5,000 in business. A staggering 100,000% ROI. Not bad for a 24 hour Facebook Advertisement.

Voice Over Recording Premieres In Online Video

Orlando Audio Recording StudioOrlando Audio Recording StudioA very talented customer of ours recorded about 2 hours of Voice Over work about a week ago, and this week the video was released to the general public. We’re quite happy with the end result, and are looking forward to next VO Session for this series. You can check that out here. Give him a “Thumbs up” on that video while you’re at it!

We’re also starting to book Podcast Recordings here at the Studio. If you’re interested in that, there some more information here for you to check out. We can’t wait to share some of the creative goodness that will be flowing through our walls here.

Original, Analytics Based Content Development

Our approach to content development based on analytics is continuing to prove successful. Using available tools, systems, and applications, we’re able to discern in real time not only how site visitors arrived at our customers’ websites, but exactly what search terms they used to find us. Furthermore, we’re able to tell what potential customers are searching for even if they don’t visit one of our customers’ websites. By using both of those branches of analytics (and some others), we create original keyword rich content that does extremely well in Organic SERP.

There Is So Much More To Come

We’ve been in the studio space one week now, and are still getting adjusted to the new space and wonderful neighbors that we have (they really are wonderful, by the way). As such, we are eager to grow and produce new and interesting content for our customers as we continue to strive to provide the best in class service for them.

There’s room for you! We’d love to speak to you about your content needs – video, photo, audio, or written word. Just give us a call at 407-476-0381 or drop us an email at hello@eipx.us

You Never Have To Guess At Social Media Content

get your social media message out thereSocial Media Content isn’t a guessing game. It’s  very well thought out, planned, organized and expertly constructed. It’s a piece of artwork in and of itself. It’s also something that many people can do on their own. Oh, believe me, I’ve heard all the reasons why people can’t create content on their own; “I don’t know what to write about”, “Nobody’s going to read this.”, “I can’t make it interesting”,”I’m not an expert in this field”. The excuses go on and on – and that’s just what they are; excuses.

Your Business Oozes Feature Rich Content

A professional content developer such as myself can come into any business type there is and find the abundant flow of rich content. Your business, regardless of what it is, is oozing content right this very instant. It’s begging for you to share that content with the world. I’ve walked into software companies, stock trading firms, mechanical shops, wellness clinics, law firms and even a funeral home – and come away with some incredible original content for them. The secret is to stop working IN your business and start working ON your business. It’s a paradigm mind shift. You’re not in the business you think you’re in; you’re in the business of marketing the business you’re in. Taking that mindset will allow you to listen to the many stories your business is telling you and the rest of the world on a daily basis.

If You’re Still Stumped For Content, Look At Your Analytics

I check customer analytics on a daily basis. I’m not the least bit concerned with how many hits a website receives (I’d be more than happy to share my thoughts on that with you over coffee). I’m more concerned with what a visitor is doing on a website vs what my customer expects a person to be doing on a website. I’m interested in knowing where they’re going, what they’re doing, what they’re searching for, and how long it’s taking them to either find it, or give up. The gold is right there – what are your site visitors looking for? That’s a content developers dream come true. If I know people are looking for Widgets on a customers website, I can easily create content based on Widgets and provide that to the site’s visitors.

You Are The Obvious Expert

Many years ago I was teaching a class on business blogging. I was explaining to my students how to go about writing keyword rich content when a student spoke up. “What gives me the authority to write about this, though? I’m not an expert.”, they proclaimed. I checked the students file I noted they were in the Luxury Apartment business. I know absolutely nothing about that niche. I asked the student a couple of questions pertaining to the Luxury Apartment industry and they happily and confidently answered each of my questions. When I got to about question number 5, they caught on. They may not perceive themselves as an expert, but if they know one little bit of information someone else doesn’t — then yes, they are the obvious expert in the room.

Social Media Content Isn’t A Guessing Game

Your sites analytics will reveal what visitors actions are. People asking you question will uncover content gems in the wild. That moment when you figured out how to get the whimmey-diddle to fit on the what-ya-ma-call-it is information people are starving for. New and original content is always presenting itself to the universe – you just need to be there to listen for it.

Results Are Worth Waiting For

Be #1 on GoogleIt’s the content developers age old question – “How long until I’m ranked #1 on Google?”

For me, there are two pretty easy answers, each with a catch.

#1 – Anyone can be #1 on Google in a matter of days for a very obscure search term that hardly anyone will type in

#2 – A lasting result to reach #1 on Google can take months, if at all, and greatly depends on who and what you’re working with

Sure, I can have a customer end up #1 on Google by next Friday, but the keywords and terms I’d be using would have to be so super niched that practically nobody would ever type them in. But, as I said, the customer would be #1 for those results…at least for a little while.

Even with search engines taking current physical location of the searcher into account, the competition for SERP Rankings is pretty intense. Reaching a top ranking and keeping a top ranking are still two vastly different things. Understanding the “long game” is what is most important – for everyone involved.

#1 Listings Are A Possibility

I’ve had great success with SERP Results over the years. For a while I was managing a SEO/SEM Small Cap Stock Press Release site. On that project I had #1 SERP Results within minutes of publishing an article – yes, minutes. Even though the term was niched it was something that investors would (and do) type into Google for more information about the stock. The best part is that for those keywords from that project, articles I wrote years ago are still occupying multiple top spots on Google (#1, #2, #3).

A recent customer has been slowly (and steadily) climbing up through the results. Even with ads in the SERPs, the customer is (as of this writing) on page 2. It won’t be long until they’re on the first page of Google, and just as I’ve already mentioned, they’ll be there for the long term.

The expertise and creativity employed while writing an article is what is needed for long term results.

What Are The Catches?

I mentioned that my answers each have catches to them – and I mean it.

If a customer just wants to be #1 on Google to say they’re #1? Easy to do, but nobody will ever find them that way. (Hint: I would never do this for anyone)

But for my second answer, the catch is “time and patience”. It’s not going to happen over night. I’ll get the customer to the first page of Google, but I’ll hardly ever claim I’ll get them to #1 on Google. It just takes properly crafted content mixed in with the right amount of exposure and a good amount of time. The results are definitely worth waiting for.
